REMARK EPOS Monitoring System
Till Scan and Cash Scan have become generic terms for Point of Sale Monitoring Systems. However, the REMARK System from SIDG Ltd goes beyond simple text insertion and event recognition to offer a sophisticated yet simple to operate management tool.

REMARK - Point of Sale Monitoring System
Our systems are designed to deter and detect retail staff theft. SIDG provides CCTV and Cash Register distributors with POS Event Monitoring Systems and System Interfaces. REMARK EPOS Monitoring System has the ability to receive and record up to 4 channels of text, synchronised with a CCTV system. The main application of this is by connecting to either a Cash Register/s or printer port to help deter and detect internal theft at the POS, ultimately having a positive impact on staff theft.

REMARK Features
Simultaneously monitors up to four POS terminals
Does not require a separate video switcher
Accommodates over 300 different types of register
Generates comprehensive reports and has an easy-to-use, mouse-driven control
Password protection prevents unauthorised access to system
Monitors up to 10 programmable exceptions /events (e.g. refunds, voids)
Users can program exceptions without the need for POS input
Monitors up to four alarm inputs (e.g. door contacts, panic buttons)
Logs incidents of incorrect password attempts, manager log-on, customer engineer log-on, power on/off and change of date & time
Front panel illuminates to indicate an exception/event has occurred since last review session
Compatible with Digital Video Recorders and Digital Video Management Systems
Generates on-screen reports

SIDG Interfaces
Interface data can be input to a REMARK Event Monitoring System, a FULCRUM data concentrator or a compatible DVR or Multiplexer. Interface types and RS-232 / RS-485 inputs can be mixed on a REMARK or FULCRUM.

Bi-colour LED indicates power on and data transmitted from the Interface
Interface outputs concurrent R S-232 and RS-485 data signals
Interfaces have test message feature to help system set up and fault finding
Majority of Interfaces provide an opto-isolated passive monitor of transaction data
Interface types can be mixed on a single REMARK Controller
Interfacing is not limited to EPOS Terminals or Cash Registers
On multi-station printers the Interface outputs data from both the Customer Receipt and Journal print stations
